Cyclone Remal will hit at night, says India

The Alipore Meteorological Office of West Bengal has predicted that the deep depression created in the Bay of Bengal will turn into a cyclone tonight. If the deep depression develops into a cyclone, it will be named 'Remal'.

Alipur Meteorological Office says that this cyclone is likely to hit the coast of Bangladesh and West Bengal in the late night. This meteorological office also says that the low pressure has moved north and northeast at a speed of 15 km in the last six hours.

A deep depression will move further north. A cyclone will form from there on Saturday evening. Which will increase in strength in the ocean and become a strong cyclone. Moving further north, this cyclone may hit the area between Khepupara in Bangladesh and Sagardwip in West Bengal during the night. Cyclone speed will be 110 to 120 kmph at the time of landfall. The wind can blow at a speed of 135 km.

The special notification number 6 regarding this low pressure said – the deep low pressure is located 565 km south west of Chittagong sea port, 495 km south west of Cox's Bazar sea port, 540 km south of Mongla sea port and 490 km south of Payra sea port at 9 am today. It may advance further northeast and intensify.

Maximum sustained wind speed 50 km/h within 48 km of the deep depression; Which is increasing up to 60 km in the form of gusts or gusts. This results in ocean turbulence in and around the deep depression center.

Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1.

Fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to proceed cautiously close to the coast until further notice. Also they were told not to wander in the deep sea.
