Death of Awami League leader who was injured in an attack while paying respects in Dhanmondi on August 15


Awami League leader MA Momin Patwari (54) died after being attacked by an angry crowd while paying homage to Bangabandhu's portrait at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital on August 15.

He died at a private hospital in the capital around 4 am on Friday.

The deceased Momin is the son of Abdul Aziz Master of Hotatia village of Noagaon union of Patowari upazila. He was the former social service affairs secretary of the Central Chhatra League and co-editor of the sub-committee of the Central Awami League and a member of the executive committee of Ramganj Upazila Awami League.

According to several family and Awami League sources, MA Momin Patowari went to pay tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait on August 15, the day of mourning. There he was attacked. It causes severe injuries to legs and other parts of the body. He was later admitted to Green Life Hospital. He died there while undergoing treatment. His body will be buried in the family graveyard at his village house in Noagaon Union of Ramganj Upazila.

Meanwhile, regarding the death of Momin Patwari, Awami League's verified Facebook page informed that former social service secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League, MA Momin Patwari, who was injured in an attack while paying respects at Dhanmondi 32 on August 15, has died. Will this murder be judged in Bangladesh?

Upazila Awami League leaders and activists have expressed deep grief and condolences to the family over the death of Momin Patwari. Leaders of various political, social and cultural organizations also expressed grief.
