Deepjol-Misha Saudagar's condolences

Fights at FDC

The Bangladesh Film Artists Association has expressed its regret over the fight and scuffle surrounding the event organized on the occasion of the victory of the committee for the 2024-26 term of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association. The organization has also promised to take necessary action against the people responsible for the incident as soon as possible.

The letter sent by Misha Saudagar, president of Film Artists Association and general secretary Manowar Hossain Dipzal informed that a ceremony was organized to mark the victory of the newly elected committee of Bangladesh Film Artists Association at 5 pm on Tuesday in the garden of BFDC. At our invitation, journalists from various media came to receive the news.

Then, some selected members of the executive committee and ordinary members of the artists' association clashed with the journalists. We have learned that several journalists have been injured in this incident, which saddens us. We express our sincere condolences to all media journalists for this incident. Besides, we are going to take necessary measures in view of this incident as soon as possible.

In the written statement sent by Misha and Dipzal, it was also informed that, in the meantime, an investigation committee consisting of 11 members has been formed with producer Arshad Adnan as the chief advisor in the joint discussion of the artists association leaders and journalist leaders. Here are Limon Ahmed, Rahat Saiful, Ahmed Tawkeer, Bulbul Ahmed and Abul Kalam from journalists and Misha Saudagar, DA Taib, Nanashah, Rubel and Ratna from the artists association.

The new leadership of Shilpi Samiti hopes that their cordiality and harmony with journalists will be maintained in the future as before.
