Demonstration against Deepu Moni-joy in court, kill-punch

During the anti-discrimination movement, the joint general secretary of the Awami League's central committee and former minister Dr. Arrested in the case of the murder of grocery shopkeeper Abu Saeed in the student procession in Mohammadpur of the capital. The court granted four-day remand to Dipu Moni and five-day remand to former deputy sports minister Arif Khan Joy.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin ordered the remand on Tuesday (August 20). Inspector Tofazzal Hossain of Mohammadpur police station requested to remand them for 10 days for proper investigation of the case.

Earlier, Dipu Moni and Arif Khan Joy were produced in the court around 3:20 pm. They were kept in the CMM court jail. During the hearing, they were taken to the court around 4:30 pm.

Meanwhile, extra police were deployed in the court area for Dipu Moni and Joy to appear before the court. Pro-BNP lawyers and some common people took a position in the court premises. As Dipu Moni and Joy were being brought to the prison van through the gate of the CMM court, a man lay down on the road. He demanded the hanging of Dipu Moni. Then go up from there. The car took them to the CMM court. At around 4:30 pm they were brought from the jail to be taken to the courtroom. They had helmets on their heads. In the face of protests by lawyers, the law and order forces had to rush to take them to court. They were taken up to the second floor of the court after much jostling. At that time some lawyers slapped Dipu Moni. Later they were taken to court.

Meanwhile, an exhausted Deepu Moni comes to the court and asks the policemen for water. However, he was not allowed to drink any more water as the court proceedings started.

Pro-BNP lawyers expressed their anger as to why the accused was not handcuffed at the beginning of the hearing. Then they were informed that Joy was handcuffed. Dipu Moni was not handcuffed as she was a woman.

The hearing was held amid the clamor of lawyers in the courtroom. Inspector for the state. Asaduzzaman prayed for 10-day remand of the accused. Pro-BNP lawyers also want a 10-day remand. Lawyers for Dipu Moni and Joy applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. At around 3:50 p.m., Joy went to the court to speak. Lawyers strongly opposed it. They kept shouting. However, Jai speaks in between.

After hearing both sides, the court said that they are not accused. Arrested as a suspect. Dipu ordered four days remand for Monir and five days for Arif Khan Joy as they are women.

BNP lawyers were not satisfied with this. They kept chanting 'fake, fake'. Amidst all this, the judge left the courtroom.

After this Dipu Moni and Arif Khan Joy were brought down. At this time, the lawyers beat them to death. Deepu Moni shouted. Joy looked. Later, Deepu Moni fell down the stairs due to a push. A woman policeman also fell. Later they were quickly taken to the prison.
