Despite saying that there is a child in the stomach, the knife is used!

A pregnant woman named Seema Akter (22) died after being stabbed by a miscreant in a house in Jatrabari of the capital. After the incident, the woman's newborn also died.

The woman died on Wednesday (August 28) around 3:30 pm while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital. The newborn died after the woman's caesarean section on Tuesday (August 27) night.

On Tuesday night, a young man entered his father's house behind Jatrabari Shaheed Zia School and College and stabbed pregnant Seema Akter and ran away. The baby in her womb was also stabbed in the chest. When he came out of the house for help, the locals took him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Later, the woman gave birth to a son by caesarean section. But the newborn died at night. After fighting with death, Seema also died under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 3 pm on Wednesday. However, relatives said that the killer did not recognize Seema.

The deceased's brother Nasir said, 'Last night a young man entered our house with a knife. Sister and four-year-old nephew were at home at that time. Without saying anything, the young man rushed towards the boundary with a sharp weapon. That's when Seema said – don't hit me, I have a baby in my belly. Without listening to Seema, the young man stabbed himself in the stomach and ran away. The sister did not recognize him.'

Bachchu Mia, Inspector in charge of Police Camp of DMK Hospital, said that a pregnant woman was admitted from Jatrabari with stab wounds. Delivered by caesarean at night. However, the newborn dies. The woman also died while undergoing treatment this afternoon. He has a stab wound in his stomach. The bodies have been kept in the morgue for two post-mortems.
