Dhaka bus terminal is overcrowded, extra fare has to be paid

Passengers are complaining, demanding extra fare due to high passenger pressure. 200 to 400 taka more per seat is being charged.

A vehicle of Hilsa Transport was leaving Fulbaria for Barisal. Golam Mostafa, a bus passenger, told this reporter that while the bus fare to Barisal was 400 taka, the fare is now 650 to 700 taka in the name of Eid bonus. I haggled and collected the ticket at a reduced price of 50 rupees. The bus was supposed to leave at quarter past 10 but it didn't even leave at 10:30. A contractor of the bus said that the wheel has burst. being fixed Will leave a little later.

Dhaka-Chittagong route S. Alam Paribahan supervisor Md. Solaiman said, there is a lot of pressure on passengers today. Demand is more than bus seats. The bus leaves every 30 minutes. More buses will be added if needed. I will take everyone home, inshallah.

Companies will add additional buses if needed. We transport passengers all year round at low rates. The bus companies are taking the fare set by the government. Passengers can complain to the control room if they have any complaints. Action is being taken on complaints of excess rent.
