DIG's wife owns 6 thousand crores!

However, no such cooperative society was found even after searching all the relevant places including the police headquarters. Investigations say that police officer Mozammel Haque is the owner of this huge wealth. Basically, he has become the owner of this huge wealth by breaking the name of the police and occupying the common people's land. He has strategically owned this huge wealth in the name of his wife to avoid the thrall of the law.
Recently, during the search, additional DIG Mozammel Haque and his wife found documents of huge amount of assets. It can be seen that this top police officer has developed about three and a half thousand bighas of land in different areas of the country in the name of his wife. Among them, the housing project in Rupganj of Narayanganj has 3000 bighas of land, the market value of which is about 6 thousand 650 crores. Next to it, there is a garden house on about 100 bigha land; Its current value is around 165 crores.
He bought 30 bighas of land in Olop village of Daudpur union, the current market price of which is around Tk 30 crores. Gutiabo Mouja of Sadar Union is building houses on 83 percent of the land by occupying the government property. Currently the process of buying more land is going on. Hasaura of Sunamganj has about 100 bighas of land worth 10 crores.
The investigation also revealed that he built a mountain of wealth in the name of his wife in Haripur village of Barakanda Union of Meghna Upazila of Comilla.
There is a garden house called 'Meghna Resort' and a huge fish farm. The market price of this 200 bigha farm is at least Tk 20 crore. Several crores of rupees have been spent on the development of infrastructure and fisheries projects here. In addition to buying with cash, Mozammel also seized the wealth of various people by abusing power. He is even swallowing Meghna river.
According to the investigation, a housing project named 'Anand Police Housing Society' is being developed next to Sector 3 of Purbachal in Kayetpara Union of Rupganj Thana of Narayanganj. About 3000 bigha of land is continuously being filled and sold in plot form. In some plots there are also multi-storied buildings. On the surface, it is known that the tears of many oppressed people are mixed in the land of the housing project. Mozammel wrote down the ownership of the land at a nominal value much lower than the market value. He also tortured someone by remanding them to grab the land. There have been many complaints that they have even written down the land without any value through threats and coercion. A local influential circle is helping him in these works.
Former Chairman of National River Protection Commission Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Chowdhury said that it is completely illegal to change the class of land by throwing sand in the river, regardless of whether it is privately owned or Khas. If someone has done such wrong then the river protection commission should take action against him.
Additional DIG Mozammel Haque is openly in front of the screen everywhere buying and selling land of housing company housing project in the name of his wife. He also signed the documents as the project director. Even the project officials have freely admitted that Mozammel is the owner of this project. But he opened a company in his wife's name to avoid legal trouble. And locally, the owner of the land of the housing project is the company 'Anand Properties Limited' owned by his wife. Some of the land ownership of the project is also shown in the name of this company to make the story believable.
According to documents, Mozammel's wife Farzana Mozammel is the managing director of 'Anand Properties Limited'. He owns 13,500 out of 15,000 shares in this company, which is 90 percent of the total shares. The remaining 1,500 shares are owned by two persons named Khairul Alam and Shahidul Islam Liton. Although these two are seen as the owners of the company, they are actually employees of the company. The company was registered on 16 June 2013. Number C 109716. The registered capital is three crore rupees.
In November 2016, Anand Properties declared that it owned 772 percent or 68.61 bigha of land, according to documents. Places like Moghlan, Gutiab, Pitalganj etc. are shown in Mauza. If the lowest market value of Pratibigha land in Rupganj is calculated at one and a half crore taka, the current market value of Anand Properties in the name of Farzana Mozammel is more than one hundred crore taka. But the investigation showed that these properties have at least three thousand bighas of land in their possession. The market value of which is about six thousand 650 crores.
Meanwhile, there is confusion over the name of the housing project. 'Anand Police Housing Society' is mentioned in the website of the organization and in the blueprint provided by the company at the land office in Rupganj. But the signboard of the project says 'Anand Housing Society'. It has been found that the police force has no official connection with it. Although the housing company is advertised to be owned by top police officials, it is mainly run by DIG Mozammel. And put his wife Farzana Mozammel in front.
Despite panic among the locals, about 3000 bigha of land was seized, but the records of the land office say that only 400 bigha of the project's rejected land is available. There is also a case regarding this 400 bigha land. About 250 victims have filed a lawsuit claiming ownership of this land. There is no end to disputes over the ownership of the remaining land occupied by housing.
Namsarvaswa Anand Police Housing was a sister concern of Anand Properties till March 2024. But after the news of former IG Police Benazir Ahmed's huge wealth was revealed on March 31, it was hastily registered as a separate company in the Registrar of Joined Stocks in the first week of April. There Mozammel registered it excluding his wife.
Additional DIG Gazi Mozammel Haque's village house is in Haripur village of Barakanda union of Meghna upazila of Comilla. He has also built a lot of wealth in the name of his wife Farzana Mozammel. Out of this, huge orchards and fish farms have been built on 200 bighas of land. Named 'Meghna Resort'. Not only the resort, Mozammel built a beautiful four-storied building named after his wife Farajana in Haripur.
From this house you have to go to the resort by trawler. On November 7, the search team proceeded towards the resort on a trawler. After about 20 minutes the trawler stopped at Mozammel resort and fish farm wharf. It can be seen there, this resort has been built on the Meghna River and Charghen. At one stage of the conversation, Mamun, the manager of the resort, said, 'One and a half hundred bighas of land has been filled. There are more on that side. Sir (Mozammel) will resort here. Another 1,000 feet will be filled on both sides of the river. Here there was land owned by local people, leased land; Sir bought them. Land has been purchased for vacant lots. It will be filled very soon.'
On the surface, there are eight ponds in this resort. They range from a minimum of 9 bighas to a maximum of 21 bighas. This year, Mozammel released fish worth Tk 21 lakh in the ponds. Apart from this, the resort has a garden of various foreign fruits and vegetables.
At various times, the officers of the police headquarters came to this resort of Mozammel's wife. According to Mamun, this is Mozammel's far-reaching project. There is also land in the name of Anand Housing. Fruit items will be made in the future. There are also plans to build an electricity sub-station next to it.
It has been found that the additional DIG has built a mountain of wealth outside his own area. However, almost everywhere the property is owned in the name of the wife. A garden house of theirs is also found in Hasaura village of Rangarchar union of Sunamganj Sadar upazila. The investigation revealed that the house of Hasaura village has been built on about 100 bigha of land. Currently, the value of this land is at least 10 crore rupees.
Local residents said on condition of anonymity that Mozammel is abusing possession and power besides buying land for this garden house. He occupied the land without paying the full amount.
A victim of the initials 'R' said, 'Additional DIG bought about 150 percent of the land from me. But he took away the land by paying half of the contract price. If you want to ask for money now, fear lawsuits and police harassment.'
What the victims say is that the housing project in Rupganj, where the housing project is being built, was once a homestead and a huge fish farm owned by a local resident, Haji Soleiman. Now there is no sign of his farm. Additional DIG Mozammel took possession of his land. Soleman said, 'I had a fish farm here. There was three-four bighas of land. All occupied by DIG Mozammel.
He also said that complaints from the local administration to the highest level of the police to protect the land did not yield any benefit. Maybe the DIG will take over the last available housing for free. Saying these words Soleman burst into tears.
Another local resident named Abdul Sattar said, 'Lack is now my daily companion. If Additional DIG Mozammel of Pushil had not seized my assets in the housing given in his wife's name, I would not have been in this situation. The DIG removed my signboard from the land and took it to the police station. Later he forcibly wrote down the land.'
It is alleged that in 2019, additional DIG Mozammel detained Jaher Ali, a local resident of Rupganj, for 13 consecutive days in the DB office and subjected him to unspeakable torture. According to Jaher Ali, he was detained and tortured as soon as he registered his 62 bigha land in the name of Mozammel. He was finally forced to write down his land in the name of Mozammel to escape from brutal torture. This incident was also revealed in the media. Even the Home Minister was aware of this incident. In this regard, Zaher Ali's daughter-in-law Afroza Akhter Ankhi filed a case in the name of 20 people including Mozammel, his wife Farzana. But could not protect their land in any way.
