Dipu Moni and Joy on remand in the murder case!


The court granted four days remand to Awami League Central Committee joint general secretary and former minister Dr. Dipu Moni and former Deputy Sports Minister Arif Khan Joy for five days in the case of killing Abu Sayed, a grocery shopkeeper in the capital's Mohammadpur, in the indiscriminate shooting of students and people in the anti-discrimination movement. Tuesday (20 August) Inspector Tofazzal Hossain of Mohammadpur police station requested to remand them for 10 days for proper investigation of the case. After the hearing, the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Sultan Sohag Uddin granted their remand. On August 13, a person named SM Amir Hamza appealed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury's court. Later, the court ordered the officer-in-charge (OC) of Mohammadpur police station to accept the complaint as a statement. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader were made accused in the case. The plaintiff said that as a conscientious citizen, he filed the case seeking justice for the murder of an innocent citizen. Amir Hamza.
