The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly made a surprising roster decision.

On Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided reported the Dodgers are designating outfielder Jason Heyward for assignment. That report was later confirmed by multiple other outlets.

This move comes as the Dodgers have a big roster crunch with the impending return of utility man Chris Taylor off the injured list.
