The NFL season starts next week and we should be in for another incredible year. The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking for their third straight Super Bowl win, a feat that no team has ever accomplished during the Super Bowl era.
Every other team is looking to knock the Chiefs off the top of the mountain but it won’t be easy. Kansas City has better offensive weapons for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to work with and they have a solid, young defense.
But it seems that not all are going with the Chiefs to repeat as champions once again. Former NFL star quarterback Donovan McNabb is going against the current and not picking the Chiefs to reach the Super Bowl this season.

McNabb spoke to John Robinson IV and Doug McKain of LA Sports Report about his Super Bowl prediction. He picked an interesting matchup.
“It’s hard to turn down Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes, but I’m going to because a three-peat is hard,” McNabb said. “I’m gonna say Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will represent the AFC. In the NFC, I’ll kind of go on a limb a little bit and I’ll pick the Philadelphia Eagles only because of what I see in the offense. I need to see the defense, if Jalen Carter and the Georgia boys will elevate their game. But I’m gonna pick the Philadelphia Eagles. I know a lot of people would pick San Francisco again. But I think this is the year that Philadelphia gets back.”
If McNabb’s prediction comes true, it would give NFL fans one of the more exciting matchups in recent memory. Star quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts would duel it out for the right to be called champions.
Jackson and the Ravens have been close each season but haven’t been able to get over the hump into the Super Bowl. They lost to the Chiefs last year in the AFC Championship game despite having home-field advantage.
Philadelphia knows all too well about the Chiefs winning the title. The Eagles just lost to Kansas City in the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Getting back would be a great story and would give the Eagles a chance for redemption on the biggest stage.
Most NFL fans just want to see a great game in the Super Bowl but with the Chiefs winning so often, perhaps fatigue has started to set in — even among those who didn’t play quarterback for the Eagles for 11 seasons.
