Dr. Chinese ambassador meeting with Yunus

During the meeting, the ambassador emphasized on cooperation with the interim government to build a democratic and prosperous Bangladesh.

Yao Wen said that China strictly adheres to the policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, respects the freely chosen development path of the people of Bangladesh, and hopes that Bangladesh will soon achieve unity, stability, development and prosperity. Regardless of the changes in Bangladesh's internal situation, China's commitment to the development of China-Bangladesh relations will remain unchanged.

He also said that China and Bangladesh are friendly neighbors and cooperative partners. China firmly supports Bangladesh in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, maintaining national unity and stability, and playing a more important role in international and regional affairs.

At that time, Ambassador Yao Wen reiterated that China will create friendly conditions for the rapid repatriation of displaced people from Rakhine State in Myanmar and negotiate with the relevant parties in Myanmar for a ceasefire.
