Dr. Congratulations to Yunus from the WTO Director General

Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus was congratulated by World Trade Organization (WTO) Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iyola.

Monday (August 19) Dr. The WTO Director General sent a letter congratulating Yunus.

He congratulated Dr. Yunus expressed interest in working closely with the government.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iyola said, I congratulate you on being appointed as the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. You have taken over as head of government at a time when global geopolitical tensions are on the rise and it is a challenging time for Bangladesh as well. I am confident that stability and prosperity will be established under your leadership.
The letter said Bangladesh has enjoyed the benefits of global trade as an important partner in the multilateral trading system and has always been a strong supporter of the World Trade Organization.

Iola said, we are working on several important trade issues at the World Trade Organization. I look forward to working closely with you to maintain and strengthen the multilateral trading system.
