The Philadelphia Eagles have won Super Bowl LIX, dominantly defeating the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 40-22.
Many believed that the game would at least be a little closer, let alone won in such a fashion by the Eagles nonetheless.
One player on the Eagles not only knew what the outcome would be ahead of time but went as far as predicting it in 2023.

Despite a 24-14 halftime lead from Philadelphia back in 2023, Kansas City ultimately came back to win the game, but there was a factor that both teams felt at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
There was an influx of slipping and sliding around the field from players which even caused many to switch cleats in the middle of the game.
A few months later, this even caused Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson to create a social media post talking about how the field affected the game.
“Run that bowl back on legit grass, the Dline SMASH that Oline I’m sorry”
Sunday’s game, featured on artificial turf at the Caesars Superdome, appeared to favor Kansas City, despite the final score.
Arrowhead Stadium—the home of the Chiefs—uses artificial turf, whereas Lincoln Financial Field—the home of the Eagles— uses a hybrid of real grass and artificial turf.
Given the final score of Super Bowl LIX and the fact that the Eagles had six sacks — a career-high on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — in the defeat, Gardner-Johnson’s latest response to his tweet all the more sweet.
To further prove Gardner-Johnson’s point, the Eagles blitzed Mahomes zero times on Sunday, making Philadelphia’s 52.4 pressure rate all the more impressive.
Philly’s defense showed why they were one of the most feared units in the NFL on the world’s biggest stage.
They picked off Mahomes twice — including rookie Cooper DeJean returning his interception back for a touchdown, on his 22nd birthday nonetheless — and recovered a forced fumble from the three-time Super Bowl MVP.
The Eagles look to enjoy every moment of this victory and prepare for the battle of now defending their title in 2025.
