The Election Commissioner (EC) is going to the UK to see the registration of Bangladeshi voters and National Identity Registration (NID). Alamgir. A 3-member delegation will visit the UK from June 6 to 15.

EC Additional Secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan and Commissioner's Private Secretary Mohammad Kamruzzaman will accompany him. Md. Alamgir will take his wife Bilquis Ara at his personal expense.
It further states that this is an official visit. All the expenses of this visit will be borne by the smart card project and IDEA-2 project.
