On Monday (May 13), news agency AFP reported this information. It said that the attack took place in the municipality of Huitzilac on May 11, near a highway connecting the capital with the country's tourist city of Cuernavaca. Four people died on the spot in the attack and four others died after being taken to the hospital.
The city's mayor, Rafael Vargas, said the violence should stop. We condemn all others who are harmful to the people.
In November last year, nine people died in a shootout between police and alleged criminals in Cuernavaca.
