A farmer named Mohammad Mujibar Chowdhury (50) died due to lightning in Narail. The accident took place in Ula village of Lakshipasha union of Lohagra upazila on Thursday (May 9) afternoon. Mujibar Chowdhury is the son of deceased Jalil Chowdhury of that village.
Local UP member Ohid Sheikh said that on Thursday afternoon, when a cloud appeared in the sky, Mujibar Chowdhury went to collect the cut paddy in the bank next to the house. At one point, heavy rain started. He died on the spot on his way home from the bill.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagarh police station Kanchan Kumar Roy said that a farmer named Mohammad Mujibar Chowdhury died due to lightning in Ula village.
