Father saves child from getting chest under moving train

Hundreds of passengers witnessed a thrilling incident at Bhairab railway station in Kishoreganj. A woman suddenly fell down from the platform along with her two-year-old son while boarding the stopped train at the station. While trying to get up quickly, the child lost his hand again and fell between the train and the platform. In the meantime, the whistle to leave the train sounded. The father immediately went down and hugged the child and lay down. The train started moving. One by one the eight carriages of the train passed by them. But miraculously, father and son survived.

This sensational incident took place on platform number 1 of Bhairav ​​Railway Junction on Tuesday (April 28) afternoon. The man's name was not immediately available. However, their house is said to be in Oriadar Bazar of Lohajuri village of Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj.

According to eyewitnesses and railway sources, the Dhaka-bound 'Titas Commuter' train stopped at Bhairav ​​station around 3:30 pm. The couple from Katiyadi in Kishoreganj came to Bhairab station to take that train to Dhaka.

Meanwhile, a video of saving a child from an accident by hugging and lying down has spread on social media. In the video, the father is seen lying down holding his child. He didn't move a bit until the train passed. Some people are standing and saying 'Allah, Allah' at this scene. As soon as the train left, the father stood with the child in his lap. The mother got down and took the child in her arms.

A witness present said, we thought neither father and son were alive. But when I saw them moving after the train left, I couldn't believe it. It is truly a miracle!

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Railway Police Station Saeed Ahmed said that with the help of police and locals, the father and child were rescued and taken to a safe place. ​

With a warning, the OC said that traveling on a moving train is very dangerous and punishable by law. A little carelessness could have caused great loss of life. He requested the train passengers to always be alert for safe travel. He also said about using overbridges to cross railway lines.
