Fire and looting again in Gazi Tires factory

In Narayanganj's Rupganj, Gazi Tires factory was again looted and set on fire. At that time miscreants were seen looting various machine parts of the factory.

On Friday afternoon, 40 to 50 miscreants entered the factory and caused the incident.

Earlier, after the fall of the government on August 5, the factory was looted and set on fire. Then on August 25 after the arrest of former MP Golam Dastgir Gazi, miscreants set fire to the second round of looting. Then today, after the third round of looting, there was an incident of setting fire.

Locals said that in the afternoon, 40-50 miscreants broke the wire on the east side of the factory and started looting the iron parts. Then a part of them set fire inside the factory.

Yakub, the security worker of the factory, said that some people entered from the back of the factory in the afternoon. Later they started carrying different items of burnt iron. When we stopped, one of them set fire.

Jonaid Ahmed, a resident of Rupasi area, said, I ran after seeing the smoke of the fire. I saw about 40 to 50 people carrying iron goods. We caught some and tied them up.

It should be noted that miscreants set fire to the Gazi Tire factory in Rupganj at 10:30 pm on August 25. After a long 21-hour effort, 12 units of the fire service brought the fire under control. As many as 187 people were missing in that incident. As the 5th and 6th floors of the building collapsed, the fire service could not carry out rescue operations there.
