A fire broke out at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur before the office started in the morning. Several fire service teams are working to control the fire.
The fire spread from the store room on the second floor of the hospital around 8:30 am on Thursday (May 16).
According to local and hospital sources, the fire spread rapidly from the store room and the surrounding area was covered in darkness due to smoke.
Assistant Director of Faridpur Fire Service. Asaduzzaman said that the fire was brought under control within 20 minutes after reaching the spot. However, the extent of damage could not be determined initially. Will be informed later.
In this regard, Deepak Kumar, Deputy Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur, said that suddenly a fire broke out in the store room on the second floor of the hospital. As it falls, it spreads quickly and smoke creates darkness.
He also said that the store room has various equipment including hospital medicines, equipment, fridge. Several fire service teams have arrived and are working to control the fire. The origin of the fire is not yet known. Details of the fire damage will be given later.
