Ford Bronco Sport Gets ‘Sasquatch’-ed, Big Interior Improvements for 2025

Ford’s refreshed Bronco Sport compact SUV is designed to go further, offering more confidence for drivers who want to do more than just the school run in their family-friendly model.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is infused with technology borrowed from the Ford F-150 pickup truck and Ford Mustang sports car. The Michigan-based automaker has paired that tech with equipment and technology from the larger Ford Bronco SUV.

“Bronco Sport customers love the outdoors and go off-roading 3.5 times as often as the owners of competitive vehicles, and camping twice as often,” said Matt Simpson, Ford Enthusiast Vehicles general manager, in a press release.

“They want to know they can overcome obstacles that come their way, which drove our designers and engineers to push Bronco Sport to a new level of capability and performance to let our customers do more and have more fun off-road,” he said.

Exterior treatments remain largely unchanged except for fresh bumper treatments and new front fender-mounted integrated tie-downs. The largest changes to the SUV come not on the exterior, but on the inside, and in equipment options.

Introducing the new Sasquatch Package

2025 Bronco Sport buyers can get their SUV with a Sasquatch Package. The option box, with its name borrowed from the Bronco offering, has been crafted to provide the ultimate off-roading experience for Bronco Sport drivers, straight from the factory.

Available on the Bronco Sport Outer Banks and Bronco Sport Badlands, the Sasquatch Package installs a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential on the SUV. Tires are upgraded to 29-inch Goodyear Territory All Terrain rubbers that were developed specifically for the Sasquatch Package.

Drivers of models with the Sasquatch Package get a new G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Mode drive mode, Rally, which is engineered to offer confidence at higher speeds on sands. That mode is also standard on the Bronco Sport Badlands when it’s not equipped with the package.

Sasquatch Package-equipped models also get Bilstein rear shocks, which replace the standard monotube off-road dampers on the Bronco Sport Badlands model. They are designed to provide a wider range of compression and rebound damping capabilities allowing for more impact absorption at high speed.

Bronco Sport Sasquatch SUVs have 8.3 inches of front suspension travel and 8.7 inches of travel in the rear. That’s an additional six-tenths of an inch over the traditional Bronco Sport Badlands.

Sasquatch Package includes a standard front brush guard, steel skid plates and accessory-ready front and rear bumpers with steel bash plates. Those plates are far more substantial than those offered on competitor Toyota and Subaru products.

New for 2025, Bronco Sports with the Sasquatch Package come equipped with four recovery points.

Buyers who don’t need quite the off-road capability the Sasquatch Package offers can opt for the Black Diamond Off-Road package. That package delivers steel underbody protection and additional recovery points.

More off-road capability

All Bronco Sports come with the new Off-Road G.O.A.T. Mode.

Trail One-Pedal Drive, proven in other Ford products, comes to Bronco Sport as part of the refresh. It allows for a cruise control limiter-like effect while off-roading, allowing a driver to concentrate on steering. It slows the model when compression on the accelerator is lifted.

Buyers can opt for a 360-degree camera. That camera view automatically activates when the SUV is operating in Off-Road and Rally drive modes. It can also function at high speeds and features accurate tire overlays to assist with steering.

Top-tier Bronco Sport Badlands models also get spit-view technology that uses the cameras to show the front tires of the model, allowing for the most precise trail placement possible.

Ford’s design team has also added grab handles to the Bronco Sport’s center console for the 2025 model year.

Interior changes add technology too

In front of the driver sits a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It, and the central infotainment screen run on SYNC 4, Ford’s software that is able to be updated over-the-air.

Ford has added a device tray to the model as part of the refresh. It includes the SUV’s USC-C ports. There are six total ports in the cabin.

Wireless smartphone charging comes standard on the Bronco Sport.

Upgraded plastics feature throughout the cabin.

Every Bronco Sport comes equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which includes automatic high beam headlights, a blind spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist and alert technology, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with stop and go technology, and evasive maneuvering assistance.

When can I buy a Bronco Sport Sasquatch?
