Formal invitation to the United Nations to investigate human rights violations in the student movement


The chief adviser of the interim government has formally invited the United Nations to investigate human rights violations during the anti-discrimination student movement. Muhammad Yunus. They have received pledges from the interim government and security forces to extend full cooperation to the party.

Incidentally, a United Nations technical team visited Bangladesh from 22 to 29 August this month. Apart from the interim government, chief justice, police and armed forces senior officers, they also held meetings with representatives of political parties and leaders of minorities and tribal communities, including lawyers, journalists and people engaged in protecting human rights.
