The prices of fuel oil such as diesel, kerosene, petrol and octane have been reduced in the country's market. According to the decision, the price of diesel and kerosene has been reduced by Rs 1 25 paise per liter and the price of petrol and octane has been reduced by Rs 6 per litre.
The new prices are effective from today (September 1).
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a notification on Saturday (August 31) setting the new price of fuel oil.
It is said that the current selling price of diesel and kerosene at the consumer level has been reduced from Tk 106.75 per liter to Tk 1.25 for diesel and Tk 105.50 for diesel and kerosene for Tk. At the same time, the current price of petrol has been reduced from Tk 127 to Tk 121 and the price of octane has been reduced from Tk 131 to Tk 125.
Buyers who came to buy fuel at the new price said that reducing the price of fuel will save some money in the market. They expressed relief that the prices of diesel, petrol and octane have been slightly reduced.
However, they demand that the price of fuel oil should be made more affordable for the common people.
