Gold price rises to a new record

The price of gold in the country's market has increased and created a new record. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has fixed the new price by increasing the maximum Tk 2 thousand 904 per item. As a result of increasing the price, the price of a good quality i.e. 22 carat gold bar will be 1 lakh 22 thousand 985 taka. The new prices will be effective from Monday. Today, good quality gold was sold at 1 lakh 1 lakh 20 thousand 80 taka per load.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Sunday (August 18). According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation.

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 22 thousand 985, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 398, 18 carat is Tk 1 lakh 625 and traditional gold is Tk 1 lakh. Gold will be sold at 83 thousand 199 taka.

While the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.

Today the best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 20 thousand 80, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 622, 18 carat is Tk 98 thousand 246 and traditional gold is Tk 81 thousand. Sold for 228 rupees.
