BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented that the government has destroyed the economy in a planned manner. He said, Awami League has become a bankrupt political party. We will leave the people of the country by establishing the right of democracy and the right to vote.
Mirza Fakhrul said this after paying his respects at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman in Sher Bangla Nagar of the capital on Thursday (April 11).
He said that the people of the country are struggling to restore the country's democracy, the people's movement is not in vain.
Commenting that democracy cannot be established without removing the present government, BNP Secretary General said that this government has come to power with the mandate of making the country dependent. As part of this, the BDR revolt was planned.
Claiming that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is a victim of the government's wrath, Fakhrul said that she has been kept in custody. BNP is going through difficult times.
