Haji Salim wailed on the drum

The court has granted a five-day remand to Haji Mohammad Selim, the former member of parliament of Dhaka-7 constituency, in the case of student murder of the capital's Ideal College. At this time, this former member of parliament cried while standing in the courtroom.

He has been arrested in the murder case of Khalid Hasan Saifullah, a first year student of Ideal College, filed at the capital's Lalbagh police station. After appearing in court at 3:35 PM on Monday, Haji Salim was placed in the dock of the accused in the court. He had handcuffs on his hands, a helmet on his head and a bulletproof jacket on his body.

He started crying only after he was lifted into the coffin. At one point, he was seen crying profusely. Sometimes covers the face.

During the hearing, it was said from the state side that he is involved in the murder case of Khalid Saifullah. He then waved his hand and refused. In the gesture, he said, he is not involved in this murder.

It was once said by the state, Haji Salim Jagannath occupied the university hall and established a business. He still waved his hand and refused.

Lawyer Pranath allowed Haji Salim to sign the power of attorney to appoint a lawyer before the hearing. Asked him to sign, he could not sign. He gestured that his hand was immobile. Then the lawyer took his tips.

Khalid Hasan Saifullah, a first year student of Ideal College, was shot dead in Lalbagh's Azimpur government residential area on July 18 during the anti-discrimination student movement.

In this incident, his father Kamrul Hasan filed a murder case at Lalbagh police station on August 19. The police arrested Haji Salim from Bangshal area on Sunday night.

After hearing the remand application, the court granted a five-day remand.

Advocate Prananath said, Haji Salim is speech impaired. He can't speak. His hands are still. can't write These things have been told to the court. Still, the court granted a five-day remand.
