Hearing of 78 complaints against 41 government offices in Kurigram

Secretary of Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Khorsheda Yasmin has called upon the government employees to provide service with a smile.

He made this call in his speech as the chief guest at a public hearing organized by ACC's integrated district office, Kurigram, at the Sheikh Russell Municipal Auditorium in the district town on Sunday (June 2).

He said, it is possible to prevent corruption through pure practices. No unfair advantage shall be taken in obtaining the service. I call upon the public servants to render service with a smile.

He also said that the door of the Anti-Corruption Commission will be open for all to bring any complaints. Hospital, Civil Surgeon, Water Development Board, Passport Office, Sub-Registry, Land Office and BRTA, Police Department and 41 government departments in Kurigram faced public hearing on 78 complaints. Officers and employees.

In the public hearing conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Arif, 78 service users raised their complaints about harassment, forced to pay bribes, deprivation etc. in receiving the services of 41 government offices of the district and they were immediately resolved. By reviewing these complaints, it can be seen that people are being harassed more in government offices like hospital, BRTA, public works, food department, passport office, jail, post office etc. in the district.
