HSC exam results should be declared after considering all aspects: Education Advisor

The education adviser said that the result should be announced after considering all the subjects of the HSC examination. Wahid Uddin Mahmud.

He said this during a press briefing at the secretariat on Wednesday (August 21).

At that time, the education adviser said that those who demanded the cancellation of the examination are several thousand. But apart from this, there are 12-13 lakh candidates across the country.

However, the situation in the country is still not normal, not all centers are suitable for taking exams and the challenge of protecting the confidentiality and security of the question papers also has to be taken into consideration, said the advisor.

The adviser said about the entry of the students into the secretariat on Tuesday, what they have done by entering the secretariat is regrettable. This situation will have to be handled for a few more days.

He said, it is also a matter of thinking whether someone from inside is inciting the examinees in these incidents or not. But what the examinees did when they entered the secretariat was unintended.

The Inter-Education Board will decide whether to review the decision to cancel the HSC and equivalent exams postponed this year. If the examination is cancelled, the board will decide how they will be evaluated, said the education advisor. Wahid Uddin Mahmud.

He said, I would request those who are concerned with the examination to declare the result after considering all aspects of the examination. All educational institutions should conduct an assessment of the examinees and provide it to the students.

The advisor said, as long as I have time, I will go through a modern curriculum. There has been a build-up of resentment over the previous government's politically motivated appointments to university schools. That is why there is anarchy in many educational institutions. Removal of teachers from some educational institutions is also very bad.

Dr. Wahid Uddin Mahmud said, secondary education is now the weakest place. There have been more irregularities. 45 government public universities now have no guardians. Earlier VCs were appointed politically. Now it won't. Will be based on merit. VC will be appointed as soon as possible in big universities including Dhaka.
