Three hundred leaders and activists of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASD) formally joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday night in Srikola area of Ullapara town.
Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated candidate for Sirajganj-4 (Ullapara) constituency, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, was present as the chief guest in the joining ceremony organized on this occasion.
Under the leadership of Jasd Ullapara Upazila Branch Member Secretary Shahadat Hossain Khokon, more than three hundred leaders and activists joined Jamaat in this event.
Speaking at the joining ceremony, Shahadat Hossain Khokon said that in the current political reality, he was looking for an ideal-based political party. He said that the political philosophy and ideology of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami inspired him and his followers.
Jamaat leaders on the occasion welcomed the new inductees and expressed their commitment to strengthen the organisation.
