ICC on mission to persuade Pakistan to boycott match against India

There was uncertainty over the government's decision regarding Pakistan's participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Finally the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) got the green signal from the government. However, despite agreeing to play in the tournament, they decided to boycott the match against India in the group stage.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is in big trouble with this decision. The governing body of world cricket has taken a special initiative to save the most interesting match of the tournament. ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja has been brought to the meeting to convince the PCB.
According to a report by 'RaveSports', Imran Khawaja, assistant to ICC chairman Jay Shah and representative of the Singapore Cricket Association, has been tasked with resolving the crisis. His main task is to negotiate with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and convince them to take the field in the match against India. Although the PCB is yet to formally send a boycott letter to the ICC, the ICC is already trying to thaw the ice.
The news agency PTI said that if the India-Pakistan match does not take place, not only the PCB, but also the ICC will face major legal and financial complications. India-Pakistan matches are very important in ICC's 4-year deal with broadcasters. It was mainly because of this 'high voltage' fight that skyrocketed the broadcasting rights.
Now if Pakistan actually boycotts the match, the broadcasters will face a huge financial loss. In that case, they can sue the ICC for breach of contract. Therefore, the ICC has become desperate to comply with the PCB to ensure the excitement of the tournament and their financial security.
