On the occasion of the Great Independence Day, all activities of the port, including import and export, are closed through Hili Land Port of Dinajpur. However, it is normal for passengers with passports of two countries to cross through the immigration check post.
Healy C&F Agents Association general secretary Jamil Hossain Chalant confirmed the matter on Wednesday (March 26) morning.
He said, on the occasion of Independence Day, import and export through Hili port will be closed today (Wednesday). All activities will resume from tomorrow Wednesday morning.
Ashraful, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hili Immigration, said that despite the closure of import and export at the port on the occasion of Independence Day, passengers with passports of the two countries can pass through this check post.
