In Gopalganj, 46 people including 45 candidates have been sentenced, expelled and fined for various periods of abuse in the primary school assistant teacher recruitment exam.
The executive magistrates of the Deputy Commissioner's Office gave these fines and sentences on Friday (March 29) evening. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Farhana Jahan Upma confirmed the matter.
He said that the primary school assistant teacher recruitment exam was held in 21 centers of Gopalganj from 10 am today. A total of 46 people, including 45 examinees and one while giving proxy, were arrested for using electronic devices and mobile phones at various centers during the examination in 16 centers.
Later in the evening, two people were sentenced to 10 days, one to 15 days, two to 20 days, 29 to one month, 10 to two hundred rupees fine and two to both. Of the 46 convicted, 45 were expelled from the examination.
There were 15 thousand 300 examinees in this examination. However, 1 thousand 866 people were present in 21 centers.
