The court again remanded former whip ASM Feroze for three days in the case of the death of a young man named Sohag Mia in Bhatara police station area of ​​the capital. On Saturday (August 31), Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam's court ordered this remand.

At that time ASM Feroze told the court, 'I am telling God that I have been elected by the people's vote. I respect all political parties including Awami League equally.

Earlier, the investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector Masudur Rahman of Bhatara police station, applied for a 7-day remand of former whip ASM Feroze. On behalf of Feroze, his lawyer Kamal Hossain Biswas applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand.

Kamal Hossain Biswas said, everyone knows his (AS Feroze) political identity. He is one of the 2/4 transparent politicians. A valiant freedom fighter, eminent parliamentarian. 8 times elected Member of Parliament. Before this he was remanded for 7 days. No information was disclosed.

His lawyer commented that AS Feroze was remanded as a suspect. He said, no one mentioned his name in 161, 164. Asked for remand again for harassment. If remanded again, it will be against the constitution, against human rights. He is an old, sick man. Requesting bail to cancel remand.

The State party prayed for grant of 7 days remand. It is said that he (AS Feroze) was remanded, he is absconding. He needs to be remanded.

Then ASM Feroze told the court, 'I am a brave freedom fighter. We liberated the country by fighting with arms. When Ziaur Rahman was president, he went to Baufal in Patuakhali, my area. During his election, I got more than 14,000 votes and was elected as a member of parliament. I was elected member of Parliament eight times. I was forcibly removed in 2001. In the name of God, I am elected by the people's vote. I respect all political parties including Awami League equally. As a member of Parliament for 46 years, I have never filed a case against anyone. I do not know about the facts of this case, I am sick. I want bail.'

After the hearing, the court ordered the remand of AS Feroze for three days.

During the anti-discrimination student movement, Sohag Mia was shot dead by the police in front of Faraji Hospital under Bhatara police station on the afternoon of July 19. In this incident, on August 20, his father Shafayet Hossain filed a murder case at the Bhatara police station. In this case, the police arrested AS Feroze from Banani area of ​​Dhaka on the night of August 23. The next day on August 24, the court granted his seven-day remand.
