He said, from the next 27th, the house or office where larvae are found, they will be jailed and fined. I declared it.
The mayor said this at the inauguration of DNCC's month-long awareness campaign to prevent dengue on Monday (April 22) at road number 7 of Rupnagar residential area.
The authorities have allocated Tk 25 lakh to buy garbage that can accumulate water to prevent the breeding of Aedes. He warned that if larvae are found in homes or institutions after April 27, there will be lawsuits and jail fines.
Applauding such an initiative, the city dwellers say that this initiative seems to play a big role. However, common people's awareness is also important to prevent the reproduction of Aedes.
Meanwhile, experts say, no initiative will be successful if the supervision is not increased. They suggested the formation of dengue prevention committee with ward-to-ward testing system to detect dengue. Concerned people think that dengue control will be possible if proper initiatives are taken by the authorities and citizen awareness.
Professor Dr. Jahangirnagar University Department of Zoology. Kabirul Bashar said, this public awareness camp is to make people aware and involved. When this campaign expands to the field level, it should not be orchestrated.
