Kamala Harris received the official nomination

The current Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, has received the final nomination as the candidate of the Democratic Party in the US presidential election.

Harris already has the required number of votes to become the presidential candidate. He will compete with former President Donald Trump in the next November election.

Jamie Harrison, the 'National Committee Chair' of the Democratic Party, announced this in a virtual event on Friday local time.

Before that, the Democratic Party started accepting e-mail votes from last Thursday in order to finalize the presidential candidate. Party representatives will have until next Monday evening to make their choice known. However, within 36 hours of the opening of voting, Kamala received more votes than she needed to get the nomination.

Kamala will make another history if she officially becomes the presidential candidate. Because, she will be the first black and Asian-American woman in this position. Currently, he is the vice president of the country.

Kamala Harris also attended the event virtually.

At the event, he said, he feels honored that the representatives chose him as the presidential candidate.

If all goes well, Kamala Harris will officially accept the nomination as a candidate next week.

Although the name of Kamala Harris has not been officially announced as the candidate of the Democratic Party, she has entered the campaign. And collected about 20 million dollars in funds within a week.
