Kausar shot constable Monirul due to a quarrel

Police constable Kausar Ali and Monirul Islam were on duty next to the Palestine Embassy in Baridhara's diplomatic zone. The two had an argument. After that Kausar shot constable Monirul. Monirul died on the spot after being shot in the chest. Sajjad Sheikh, the driver of the Japanese Embassy, ​​was injured.

Panic spread throughout the area in this incident which happened around 12:15 on Saturday night. Traffic on that road was stopped. Constable Cowser was disarmed after about half an hour of effort. Special police SWAT, intelligence wing and senior police officers rushed.

Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun confirmed the truth of the incident. At the spot, he said, the matter will be investigated after reviewing the CCTV footage and listening to the eyewitness accounts. Details cannot be given before the investigation.

A security guard, who did not want to be named, said that after shooting Monirul, Kausar came to the main gate of the Palestinian embassy. He was still pretty normal. When asked why Monirul was lying on the street, Kausar said that he was acting. Kausar then moved to the side road opposite the main gate of the embassy. After realizing the incident, the security guards arrested Kausar.

Witnesses said that at that time they heard 5 to 6 rounds of gunshots.

Sajjad Sheikh, the driver of the Japanese embassy who was shot in this incident, has been admitted to the United Hospital. Relatives said that his condition is not alarming.
A relative of Sajjad Sheikh quoted the doctor as saying that Sajjad's hand and stomach were hit by bullets. He has been kept in ICU. He is still not out of danger.

Meanwhile, Constable Monirul's elder brother Mahbub filed a case at Gulshan Police Station on the night of the murder. Gulshan Thana-Police confirmed the information of the case.
