Kuwait will take more skilled workers from Bangladesh


Faisal Mutlak H Al Adani, the outgoing ambassador of Kuwait posted in Dhaka, said that more skilled workers will be hired to strengthen relations with Bangladesh.

Tuesday (September 3) in Dhaka State Guest House Yamuna Chief Advisor Prof. Dr. He said this during his farewell meeting with Muhammad Yunus.

The Chief Adviser praised the ambassador, saying he was a 'good friend of Bangladesh' and hoped that he would continue in this role in the days to come.

The chief adviser said Bangladesh hopes to develop β€œcloser relations with Kuwait”.

The outgoing ambassador said that more than three lakh Bangladeshis are working in the Gulf emirate and his country is keen to recruit more workers from Bangladesh.

β€œWe want to recruit more doctors, nurses and engineers,” said the ambassador, saying that more than 5,000 Bangladeshi soldiers are working in Kuwait.

The meeting highlighted cooperation on economic integration, defence, Rohingya crisis, Palestine issue and energy cooperation.

The Chief Adviser thanked Kuwait for its humanitarian assistance to the Rohingyas.

He wished for greater cooperation in energy and investment between Bangladesh and Kuwait.
