Litton's case filed for assault on Minu's house

A case has been filed in the name of Awami League presidium member and former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RASIK) AHM Khairuzzaman Liton for the attack on the house of Mizanur Rahman Minu, one of the advisors of the BNP Chairperson. Apart from Khairuzzaman Liton, 22 others have been named and 50-60 unknown accused have been named in the case.

Former Mayor of Rajshahi Sadar and former Mayor of City Corporation Mizanur Rahman Minur's house caretaker. Alauddin filed the case at Chandrima police station in the city on Tuesday (August 20) night as the plaintiff.

Among the defendants in the case are the names of city Awami League general secretary D.B. Sarkar and former councilor of City Corporation Aktaruzzaman Koel. The charge stated that the house of BNP leader Minu in Bhadra residential area of ​​the city was attacked on December 10, 2018 under the direction of Lytton and Dblo and led by Koel.

The statement also said that the attackers first detonated 4-5 cocktails in front of the house that night. After that, extensive vandalism and looting was carried out on the ground floor of the house.

It has been mentioned in the statement that the case could not be filed till now due to political pressure and death threats.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajshahi Nagar Chandrima Police Station Ismail Hossain confirmed the case.

He said that all the accused in this case are absconding. Efforts are on to arrest them.
