Lover's life sentence in case of murder of lover

The court sentenced boyfriend Alauddin Gazi to life imprisonment in the case of murder of bricklayer Roshanara. At the same time, he was fined 50 thousand rupees. On Sunday (August 18), Special Sessions Judge and Special Judge (District and Sessions Judge) Mohammad Samchul Haque announced the verdict of the case.

Convicted Alauddin Ghazi is the son of Shamchur Rahman of Kashimpur village of Keshabpur upazila of Jessore.

According to the source of the case, on April 22, 2019, the police recovered the body of an unknown woman from the bamboo garden based on the information of the people of Kashimpur village of Keshavpur. A wrongful death case was filed in Keshavpur police station in this regard. Later, the relatives identified the woman who died as Raushnara, daughter of Abbas Ali of Baduria village of Dumuria upazila in Khulna. In this incident, the father of the victim, Abbas Ali, filed a murder case against unknown persons at Keshabpur police station as the plaintiff. During the investigation of the case, the police arrested bricklayer Alauddin and handed him over to the court as he was involved in the murder. Later he admitted his involvement in the incident and gave a statement in court.

According to the investigation of the case, Alauddin Gazi worked as a laborer in the brick kiln of Prafullar in Batiaghata area of ​​Khulna. The Roshans worked in the same brick kiln. Meanwhile, a love relationship develops between them. Roshanara pressured her for marriage. Alauddin Ghazi informed that he will not marry her. Since then a dispute arose between them. The Roshans almost threatened that he would go to Alauddin's house (Kashimpur of Keshabpur Upazila).

On the night of April 21, 2019, Roshans came in front of Alauddin's house in Kashimpur village of Keshabpur upazila. He calls on the mobile phone and asks to meet Alauddin. After coming out of the house, Alauddin started talking to Roshanara in the neighboring Ashraf Shahji's bamboo garden. At one point, there was an argument between the two. At one point Alauddin killed Roshanara by strangulation and left the body in a bamboo garden and ran away.

After a long investigation, the investigating officer Inspector Shahjahan Ahmed submitted the charge sheet to the court on September 2 of the same year. After taking long testimony, the court sentenced the accused Alauddin Gazi to life imprisonment and a fine of Tk 50,000. The judge sentenced him to another 6 months imprisonment in default of payment of fine. Convicted Alauddin Gazi is in jail.
