Mamata's resignation ultimatum to students

In the wake of the Bangladesh student movement and government change, the state's student community has given West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee an ultimatum to resign by August 26. If they don't resign, they have called for a raid on the secretariat on August 27.

According to Indian media reports on Tuesday (August 20), today the student community gave this ultimatum, calling upon the common people of the state to participate in the Navanna Chalo program regardless of party affiliation. As a result, the political circles fear a big conflict in the state on that day. Today (Tuesday) morning, activists and supporters of BJP's student organization Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad protested at the State Health Department in Salt Lake and Bidhan Nagar near Kolkata. Hundreds of thousands of worker supporters joined the protest demanding the arrest of Kolkata Police Commissioner Binit Goel and RG Kar Medical College Hospital Principal Sandeep Ghosh in inclement weather.
