Maximum 60 taka per square foot of cowhide in Dhaka and 55 taka outside

The government has fixed the price of skin of sacrificial animals.

The price of cowhide in Dhaka has increased by Tk 5 and outside Dhaka by Tk 7 compared to last time.

This announcement was made after the meeting regarding fixing the price of raw leather on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha at the secretariat on Monday.

Tannery traders will now have to buy salted cow hides in Dhaka at Tk 55 to Tk 60 per square foot, compared to Tk 50 to Tk 55 last year.

The price of salted cowhide outside Dhaka will be Tk 50 to Tk 55 per square foot, compared to Tk 45 to Tk 48 last year.

According to the announcement, the price of salted khasi and goat skin has also increased across the country this time. Khasi has been fixed at Tk 20 to Tk 25 per square feet this time, which was Tk 18 to Tk 20 last year. Goats have been fixed at Tk 18 to Tk 20, last year it was Tk 12 to Tk 14.
