Media workers will be able to enter the secretariat from Monday – Bangladesh Diplomat

Media workers will be able to enter the secretariat from next Monday, said Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam. He told this to the media on Sunday (December 29) afternoon.

Adviser Nahid Islam said, media workers will be able to enter the secretariat from next Monday. Temporary passes will be arranged for them.

Last December 25, there was a fire incident in building number 7 of the secretariat. It is said that everything including documents, computers, furniture of five ministries have been damaged. Since then, law and order forces have imposed restrictions on entering the secretariat. Besides, in an order, the Ministry of Home Affairs canceled all accreditation cards of journalists issued by the Directorate of Information.

As a result, like last Thursday, on the first day of the week, the media workers waited outside without being able to enter the secretariat to collect news. Today Sunday, a delegation of journalists entered the secretariat and met the Home Affairs Advisor. The issue of collecting news on temporary entry passes from Monday came up in the discussion.
