Meetings and demonstrations are prohibited in various places of the capital

All kinds of meetings, gatherings, marches, processions and demonstrations in the capital have been banned in the streets adjacent to the Chief Justice's official residence, Justice Bhavan, Judges Complex, main gate of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Matsya Bhavan.

On Thursday (August 29), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md. This order was issued in a public notice signed by Mainul Hasan.

It said that from Friday (August 30), all kinds of meetings, gatherings, processions, processions and demonstrations etc. have been banned on the roads adjacent to the Chief Justice's official residence, Justice Bhavan, Judges Complex, main gate of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Matsya Bhavan.

In view of the recently arisen situation, this order has been given under the powers delegated in section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No-III/76) to maintain public order. It will remain in force until further orders.
