Meteorological office gave bad news about rain for the next three days

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in several districts of the country for the next three days. This information was given in the forecast for the next 72 hours from 9 am on Monday (August 26).

According to Met Office, the low pressure located over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining southern Bangladesh is currently in the form of a pronounced low pressure over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas. The extension of monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay of Bengal.

On Monday (August 26) from 9 am in most places of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions; Many places of Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Day temperatures may drop slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

The weather forecast for Tuesday (August 27) says that there may be light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty wind temporarily in many places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions from 9 am. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day temperatures may increase by (1-2) degrees Celsius across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.

From 9 am on Wednesday (August 28) many places of Chittagong and Sylhet Divisions and some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Khulna Divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.

The Meteorological Office also said that the increased 5 (five) rainfall trend may decrease.
