Minority community protests and demonstrations in Thakurgaon


Protests and demonstrations have been held in Thakurgaon since August 5, 2024, in connection with attacks, looting and arson across the country, including in North Bengal.

On Monday (September 2) afternoon organized by Minority Rights Andolan Parishad Thakurgaon branch, a procession left Aparajeya 71 in Thakurgaon city and took a stand in the Government Boys High School big field with slogans.

The speakers in the rally said that the security of the minorities should be ensured, this country belongs to all. The speakers also said that the movement will continue until the 8-point demand is quickly implemented, including the formation of a separate commission for the minorities and the return of assigned property. Hundreds of women and men, including minority students, took part in the protest.
