2 people have been killed in Chittagong shooting. The incident took place in front of Nahar Garden in Quaish Burischer City Corporation College area of Ananya residential area of Bayezid Bostami police station of the city on Thursday (August 29) around 6:30 pm.
The deceased are Md. Anis (38) and Masood Kayshar (32). They are residents of West Quaish area. Both were reportedly involved in Awami League politics.
An eyewitness to the incident said that on the way back from the city to their home, the miscreants fired at Anis and Masood. Anis died on the spot. When he ran away, Masood was shot and killed. He claimed that this pair was killed due to previous enmity.
After this incident Bayezid Bostami police station and army arrived at the scene. Later, the bodies of the two were taken to a private hospital. The police said that the process of post mortem is going on.
Sanjay Kumar Sinha, OC of Bayezid Bostami police station, said that someone came on a motorcycle and fired indiscriminately. They died on the spot.
