More than 15 thousand immigrants arrested in Saudi in 7 days – Bangladesh Diplomat


15 thousand 305 migrants have been arrested in Saudi Arabia in just one week. A week-long raid led to their arrests for violating housing, labor and safety laws. News of Arab News.

According to the report, 8,816 of those arrested were for violating housing laws, 3,935 for illegally crossing the border, and 2,524 for violating labor laws.

According to the report, 57 percent of those arrested for illegally entering Saudi Arabia were Yemenis, 36 percent were Ethiopians, and 7 percent were of other nationalities.

The Middle Eastern country is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million Saudi riyals for attempting to assist a person to enter the country illegally. The Saudi Ministry of Interior has repeatedly warned about this.
