Murder case again against 28 people including Sheikh Hasina

A case has been filed against 28 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the indiscriminate firing of Russel Mia in Rampura of the capital during the anti-discrimination movement.

On Wednesday (August 21), the case was filed by the deceased's wife Sharmin Akhter in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Afnan Sumi's court. The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the Rampura Police Station to accept the complaint as a statement.

The other notable accused in the case are – former Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Jute and Textiles Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak, former State Minister for Information Mohammad Ali Arafat, former State Minister for Information and Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, former State Minister for Disaster and Management Mohibur Rahman, Former Member of Parliament Wakil Uddin, Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, Former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman, DIG Ripon Sardar, Former DB Chief Haroon-or-Rashid, Former CTTC Chief Asaduzzaman, Former RAB DG Harun-or-Rashid, Wari Division DC Iqbal Hossain, Motijheel Division DC Hayatul Islam, ADC Sabbir Rahman, RAB-10 Captain Farid Uddin, Rampura Police Station OC Mosiur Rahman, Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan. , Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra League President Riaz Mahmud, General Secretary Sagar Ahmed Shamim.

It is alleged in the case that during the anti-discrimination movement on July 19 at 2.30 pm, Russell Mia was shot dead by an unknown accused on the orders of the accused.
