Mustafiz has to stop in the middle of IPL

In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Bangladeshi pacer-cut master Mustafizur Rahman has made himself known by playing in his first match. He has shone for the successful IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. Kohli's Man of the Match single-handedly destroyed Bangalore's batting unit by taking four wickets in the team's first match of the season.

In the beginning of this year's IPL, Phiz is not playing full time despite his career best bowling. Mainly because of Bangladesh's busy schedule in international cricket, Mustafiz will have to return home midway.

It is reported that after the series against Sri Lanka, the Tigers' five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe will begin from May. Mustafizur has been given a no-objection letter (NOC) till the Zimbabwe series. As a result, the cutter master will have to return home before the start of the Zimbabwe series.

Meanwhile, the playoff portion of the IPL will start from mid-May and the last match of the series against Zimbabwe in Bangladesh will be on May 12. Mustafiz has a chance to rejoin the IPL if the reigning champions make it to the playoffs, but the chances of getting a no-objection from the BCB again are unlikely.

It is known that currently Bangladesh Cricket Board- BCB is not very interested in giving NOC to cricketers due to busy schedule of international cricket. Board reluctant to take risks with key team players due to workload management. The board plans to rest the cricketers before the World Cup.

Before leaving the country for the T20 World Cup, BCB plans to give the players 10 days of complete rest. So despite having the opportunity, it is difficult for Mustafiz to return to the IPL.

Note that from June 1 of this year, the 2024 T20 World Cup will be held on the soil of the United States and West Indies.
