Navan Boosts Events Functionality With AI-Focused BoomPop Integration

Business travel and expense platform Navan announced today an update to its Meetings & Events platform with new AI-powered functionality driven by sourcing and event management platform BoomPop.

The Navan platform already offered a self-serve group travel solution that has facilitated nearly 85,000 events — 30,000 in 2025 alone — however, room blocks and venue sourcing remained a manual process.

The integration with BoomPop delivers a more complete offering with features that include:

• AI chatbot-based sourcing with suggestions including dates and destinations
• A curated marketplace of hotels and event-ready spaces
• Negotiating RFPs and room blocks
• Event website building, registration, and agenda management
• Centralized finances including contracts, invoices, and approvals, combining venue spend with travel and expense data.

“Companies spend billions on meetings and events every year, yet the infrastructure for event planning remains fragmented,” said Galen Grady, senior vice president and general manager of meetings and events at Navan.

According to BoomPop, its online marketplace includes 1.2 million vendors across hotels, venues, restaurants, and activities. The platform supports corporate event planning including offsites, sales kickoffs, executive summits, and client events. Clients including Dropbox, Salesforce, and Rilla have used the platform to plan events for a collective 500,000 attendees.

“Everyone knows travel is 10% of global GDP and $12 trillion annually, but almost no one realizes that events drive 40% of all travel. It’s been a historically antiquated industry with tons of manual work required,” said Healey Cypher, BoomPop’s CEO and co-founder.

BoomPop says meetings and events increasingly represent the top two or three spend categories for most companies, and are the number one demand channel for scaled annual recurring revenue businesses.

The advanced events functionality is currently available in beta for Navan customers in the U.S., with plans for a full launch in the near future. All other Navan Meetings & Events capabilities remain available to customers globally.
