Seven Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIG) have been posted in seven divisions of the country including Dhaka-Chittagong. On Tuesday (September 3), the deputy secretary of the police-1 branch of the public security department of the interior ministry said. This appointment was made in a notification signed by Sheikh Mahabubur Rahman.
The DIGs are – Additional DIG of Industrial Zone Police (promoted to the post of DIG) AKM Awlad Hossain in Dhaka range, Superintendent of Police of PBI (promoted to the post of DIG) Ahsan Habib Palash in Chittagong range, Superintendent of Police of SB Alamgir Hossain (promoted to the post of supernumerary DIG) in Rajshahi range and Tourist. Superintendent of Police Md. Ashrafur Rahman (promoted to the post of Supernumerary DIG) was posted as DIG, Mymensingh Range.
In addition, SB Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary DIG) Md. Mushfekur Rahman is attached to Sylhet Range, Sylhet Range DIG office (promoted to the post of Supernumerary DIG). Manzoor Morshed Alam in Barisal Range and DIG of Dhaka Police Staff College. Rezaul Haque has been posted as DIG of Khulna range.
It is said in the notification, this order issued in public interest will be effective.
